Considered a must-have in custom-built homes, crown molding is one of the best ways ways to elevate the value of your home's interior design – and it can be one of the most challenging for many air-powered, do-it-yourselfers. But our CH how-to video will walk you through each of the basic steps from measuring, making compound miter saw cuts, installing and paint prep. This project will may take you an entire weekend, but the results are well worth investment in time and satisfaction!

Tools and Supplies Needed:

  • 2 1/2" Fasteners
  • Dual Bevel Compound Miter Saw
  • Ladder
  • Tape Measure
  • Pencil
  • Wood Putty
  • Paintable Caulk
  • Scratch Paper
  • Masking Tape
  • Stud Finder
  • Crown Molding (should be U.S. Standard 52°/ 38° Crown Molding; we suggest purchasing extra to make sure you have enough)
  • 360° Protractor angle finder – only necessary if you suspect that you do not have 90 degree walls
  • Finishing Materials (sanding block, paint/stain)
